Model I and II

The safety on a Model I and II will look like this one which slides under the grip.  It may also have a blade type knob instead of the round one.  Grips also go all the way up to the slide with no detent tube like the later models.  These models have a W shaped detent spring under the left grip.

 Model III and X

To aid in identifying your gun you should give me the date code stamped on the frame.

On the early guns the date code will be on the side of the frame above the trigger as with this one * above the letter U.

To further identify the III and X the safety will look like this or in the pic below and there will be no rib on the slide.  The gun would have originally had either checkered wood or bakelite grips.

I have no grips shown for these models but I do make them .  Please look carefully as the IIIA asnd Micro below do not fit this gun.  This gun has a magazine that fits up inside the frame and not below it as with the other guns. There are still two guns, Models I & II, I do not make grips for, where the safety slides under the grip.  If you are unsure what you have please e-mail, and send a pic if you can.  If I make a mistake I pay shipping charges, but if you make a mistake you pay for them.  I have paid for just a few because I do make mistakes!

Micro Max , IIIA, XA, and XV

To aid in identifying your gun you should give me the date code stamped on the frame.  These grips are all made to the thicknes of the original wood grips and use the screws of the later plastic grips.  If you wish grips to replace the original wood grips let me know and I will make them special as they have longer screws.

The date code on this gun is N*2

The date code on a Micro Max is the 97

N*2 date code -1994 - extended slide release and Tamboti grips.

S Z*I date code -1980 - Short slide release with Jobillo grips

I have some new type materials coming out for these guns and this is the first color I picked out to try.  It is bronze pearl and they are georgous.  I will be getting these in white and black also.  Cost will be $35.00 .  Unlike my other plastic grips these are breakable if dropped, just like real Mother of Pearl.

Polyurethane reproductions of original grips.  I can make these in a variety of colors to suit your taste and they will not break like the originals.
